The Future

I don’t know what the future holds. And believe me, I’ve tried looking. Just a little job/money security at the moment would be great. Instead, all I see is a mist.

In Harry Potter there is a mirror that lets you see your greatest hearts desire. If I had stood in front of it a year ago I could have told you what I would have seen. Now though…

Maybe I will be a great writer, or artist… But I think what I want is both.

I would like to be a decent writer and a decent artist. Making just enough to not worry. That would be great.

Until then I will continue to write and draw and enjoy what I’m doing. And I’m going to try to forget about the business and money… Or at least try not to over-worry.

My future? Well, whatever it is I hope that when I look into a mirror I see a smile.

  1. Sometimes I think if we all wished for something as simple as this – to look in the mirror and smile at ourselves – then perhaps the world would be a much brighter place 🙂

    1. I think so as well, but it is surprisingly hard to do… To always look on the brighter side and see the glass half full. 🙂 Not easy.

  2. So many of us have the same problem. Although I’ve made some strides in the last 6-months (getting published) my full time job which I am not ready to give up conflicts with my writing goals. For me it’s still the bottom dollar of which my lifelong job keeps me quite comfortable. It’s very frustrating…isn’t it?
