That last biscuit.
You know the one.
When you put your hand in the jar and…
Then your finder tips brush it,
arm stretched to the elbow,
swallowed by the cookie monster.
The triumph as you pull the crumbling sweetness free.
Then the tea.
Not too strong or too weak but just right.
A moment of contemplation
Then you allow the biscuit to dive in.
A few seconds and then…
This poem was inspired by the daily prompt – linger. I know two poems in as many days but this just cried out to be written. Again I don’t call myself a poet so please allow for my prose to glimmer through. 🙂
